A Magical Place - Magic and Entertainment

Jon Lopez, owner of Real Magic & Co. and A Magical Place, has been performing magic since the age of 6. He grew up in the small Northern California town of Winters and began learning magic by reading books at the local library. His first performances were for local libraries, schools and birthday parties. After High School, several entertainment agencies picked him up, but the one with whom he developed the closest relationship was Bosco and Company.

It was there that, over the next 15 years, magic would become a full time living for Jon. To this day, he and Bosco remain friends and continue to practice magic together at times.
In 1992, Jon officially became a professional magician and opened his own entertainment company, Real Magic & Company. Over the years, Real Magic & Company has expanded to include corporate and personal party and event planning. In 2002, Jon Lopez was named “Best Magician” by Sacramento News and Review. He has performed for celebrities such as Don Johnson, Joe Montana, Bo Jackson, and the cast of Beverly Hills, 90210. He has performed at the Horizon Casino in Lake Tahoe, Harrah’s Incline Village, Thunder Valley Casino in Rocklin, and wowed audiences at corporate trade shows both locally and out of state. Jon currently resides in Elk Grove with his wife and two children.

Take A Magical Journey: A Family-Oriented show for all ages! Children and adults will be amazed as they take a magical journey with Jon Lopez. Along the way, audiences will meet many magical characters.

Balloon Magic Class with a Twist: You name it, Jon can make it! He will also teach you along the way how to make your own balloon characters. You will go home with more balloons than you can carry!

Harry Potter Magic Theme Show: Join Bernie Bots as we search for the any flavor jelly bean and become official graduates from Hogwarts Magical Academy. If you like the movie, you will love this show!

You’re the Magician: After watching a short magic show, Jon will teach you how to do 4 tricks with every-day objects (rubber bands, paperclips, napkins, etc.) When you go home you will be able to amaze your family and friends with the magic tricks you have mastered.

Strolling Magicians: Cards will change places, coins will vanish! It's one thing to see these feats performed on stage, but it is a totally different experience to witness this magic close-up. Sketch Artist: Our sketch artists are a wonderful addition to any type of event , bringing a real personal touch to your party. It is great fun for the person having their picture drawn and for the onlookers too! In addition, your guests will have a unique and lasting souvenir by which to remember your event.

Balloon Artist: We have some of the best balloon artists in the world. You name it; we will make it out of balloons. Our talented balloon artists are all professionally trained. Kids and adults alike really enjoy watching their choice of balloon be created right before their eyes!

Henna Tattoo Artist: Our henna tattoo artists bring an earthy, all natural feeling to your event – this unique entertainment production allows guests to experience the world of tattoos – temporarily! All natural, Henna design is a beautiful “body art” type concept that has been in society for thousands of years. Henna tattoos last for approximately 3-6 weeks.

Face Painter: Our artists can make almost anything you wish on your face, hands, or arms. Non-toxic paints – glitter – and talent are what we guarantee with our face painters! A fabulous addition to events big and small.

Airbrush Tattoo artist: This is an excellent addition to any event. Our airbrush artists can paint pictures or designs on you and your guests that will be the hit of your party. This tattooing is a unique painting application that is placed on the body through an airbrush which creates detailed images for your guests to enjoy – temporarily!. Whatever you want we can provide, whether it be simple background music with a microphone for announcements, or an all-out DJ Booth with lights, trivia and games.
